Paradise View Retreat is the result of our long-held vision of creating a beautiful, peaceful place to retreat to, that is centered on but not exclusively Yoga.
Chris is passionate about food and a London trained chef and Rachel is a trained Yoga teacher. We have both traveled extensively and been to many retreats and amazing places; we have tried to create a special place that you will want to return to time and time again. This is our special place and we enjoy sharing it with guests.
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and protecting the worlds natural resources. Most of our power is produced by solar and in times of excess energy we provide power back to the national grid.
We use organic soaps and body wash and reduce our use of chemicals in the house and gardens as much as possible by using essential oils and natural ingredients.
Our swimming pool uses the Naked Fresh Water Pool system which is the latest technology in pool management, an environmentally friendly system which significantly reduces the chemicals required and power consumption.
In the kitchen, we make every effort to reduce food waste and avoid single-use plastic.
We are proud to be part of the Elephant Parade global movement. Elephant Parade is a social enterprise founded in 2006 by father and son, Marc and Mike Spits who were inspired by a brave baby elephant named Mosha that had lost part of her leg after stepping on a landmine. Mosha was the first baby elephant in the world to receive a prosthetic leg.
We first came across Elephant Parade in London in 2010, one of their worldwide art exhibitions. Their exhibitions put smiles on the faces of millions of people worldwide and creates awareness and funds for the important work of elephant conservation.
It certainly made us smile so we have put an elephant in every room. This is our way of playing a small part in elephant conservation; we hope to make our guests smile too and to raise awareness for this great cause.
